The situation in Kashmir continues to worsen with over 100,000 people perhaps without shelter for the winter. Its a very brutal situation (unfortunately made worse by the terrain and some decisions by the Pakistani government). In the past few weeks a company, with whom I have been consulted over the last few years, has gotten a large order for shelters from Doctors Without Boarders (MSF). So the last few weeks have found us busy preparing the order to ship. ( I also have had an invitation to come along to Muzafarabad although Nishi has veto power over this)

At any rate it's odd that when a  real crisis happens governments have to make use of canvas shelters (tents) which have many problems associated with them, such as being cold, dirty, and psychologically troubling to live in for too long.  Although I don't know if these shelters we are sending will improve the situation  substantially they are at least doubled wall constructions which will be insulated, I will provide a link below. It is odd in these days of the exponential technological evolution which brings us the sequencing of the genome and the world wide web that often the most basic technologies which are needed to solve basic human problems are lacking in the world.  Just a reaffirmation that most of our difficulties are problems of harmony?
